July 4th Parade in Sandy City

Happy 4th of July!
We met as a state society to march in the Sandy City July 4th parade.
We hope you all have a fantastic summer. See you in the fall!

April 2016 meeting at the D.A.R. State Conference

Congratulations Utah C.A.R. members, we are now officially a state society!
In 2016, we received an award from the National Society of the Children of the
American Revolution for having the most new confirmed C.A.R. societies.
We swore in our new officers. It’s a great looking group of leaders!

Our new state president, Matt received his medal.
Next year, he will give this medal to the next president.

After the new state officers were sworn in, several C.A.R. members
paged at the conference.

Thanks for another great year! See you all in the fall!

JAC Winners 2016

We had a good number of our C.A.R. members participate in and place in the JAC contest this year.

April meeting, JAC winners and 2015 officers

We had a fantastic meeting at the Double Tree hotel in downtown Salt Lake City during the D.A.R. Utah State Conference.
The children participated in the color guard for the Saturday morning meeting (more information to come) and then enjoyed a buffet breakfast at the hotel.

Carolyn Bushman presented the JAC awards.
Our CAR members did extremely well!
McKenzie took second place in her age category at National with her poem.

Charli took third place in her age category at National with her stamp design.

McKennah won first place in her age category at Region with her stamp design.

The C.A.R. group service project (at the Wentworth last fall) won first place at State.
Well done! The theme for next year is “Celebrate America.”
More information will come at the next meeting in September.
We also announced our new C.A.R officers for 2015. The officers are printed in our 2015 program.

See you all in the fall!

Spring Conference 2014

The C.A.R. color guard did a great job carrying the flags at the D.A.R. Spring Conference in April, 2014.

The Junior Pages did an excellent job as well!

After the color guard, the C.A.R. met at the Radisson Hotel breakfast buffet. They installed the new C.A.R. officers for 2015.

Thanks for a great year!

Flag processional at the Utah State Society Daughters of the American Revolution

The  Dominguez y Escalante Society and the Jemima Johnson Society were able to participate in the flag processional at the Utah State Society Daughters of the American Revolution state conference on April 27th in Salt Lake City.  There were 16 C.A.R. participants and a few of them served as junior pages during the business session later that morning.

We were also able to raise funds for new C.A.R. banners to use in parades over the summer!  Thank you to the generosity of the DAR ladies who patronized our C.A.R. sales table and made this possible!

We are proud of our C.A.R. members!
