2018 Utah State Society Children of the American Revolution State Conference

We had an amazing state conference held at the Draper Library–a great venue for this event.

Our wonderful C.A.R. members were the color guard and did a great job from the oldest to the littlest of our members!

The state regent of the Utah State Society Daughters of the American Revolution came to the event and presented our C.A.R. state president with a check for her project–Camp Kesem.

After all the state reports, an intermission to hold voting and a silent auction, we were pleased to install our new state officers for 2018-2019!

Our state president was able to present a gift to a Camp Kesem representative.  Camp Kesem is a camp for kids of cancer patients–a place for these kids to have some time off from cancer in their lives and also to connect with other kids who are dealing with the same situation.

After our meeting was over, the outing was to the Living Planet Aquarium.

We enjoyed pizza and cake along with an amazing play area outside the party room. After the luncheon, all attendees were able to spend time at the aquarium.

A BIG thanks to our C.A.R. state president on a successful term and congratulations to our new officers!

46th Annual Rocky Mountain Regional Meeting in Salt Lake City!

It has been many years since the Rocky Mountain Regional Meeting has been held in Salt Lake City. We were excited to host and did a great job with our senior president, Shirley Nelson, helping make all the arrangements to host.

Dominguez y Escalante and Wasatch Range Societies from the Utah State Society C.A.R. were well represented at the Rocky Mountain Regional Meeting. Our members were color guard, pages, and participated in the program.

Senior leaders helped chaperone the after hours activities (besides helping make sure that all our C.A.R. members could fulfill their regional meeting responsibilities!

For our activity and tour, we went to This is the Place, everyone really enjoyed the visit!

Many thanks to all the senior leaders who help our C.A.R. members learn and lead!
