The Dominguez y Escalante Society and the Wasatch Range Society met in January for a meeting and tea party.
The DyE President called the meeting to order.
DyE President gave a great presentation called, “Faces on Money” where we learned about United States coinage.
Our Senior Officer taught us about the history of the Panama Canal and women’s suffrage in Utah.
Our Utah State President then taught us about the “Rules of Civility” that George Washington learned from his mother, Mary Ball Washington.
We enjoyed tea from the Ferry Farm (George Washington’s boyhood farm) and refreshments.
We also made lots of Valentines for veterans.
Thank you all for a wonderful meeting! Don’t forget, your registration form and check/cash for the Utah State C.A.R. Conference is due on March 2, 2020.
